This page explains what Commuter Detective stores, why it stores it, and how subscription and gameplay data are handled across the iOS app and the remote service.
Data We Store
Commuter Detective stores gameplay progress such as completed cases, attempt history, elapsed time, reminder preferences, language selection, and subscription state needed to unlock content.
If cloud sync is enabled, the service also stores a generated player identifier and synced case-attempt records so that progress can be restored after reinstalling the app.
How We Use Data
Stored data is used only to provide core app features, including case progression, profile statistics, reminder scheduling, remote content delivery, and purchase restoration.
We do not use gameplay progress to build advertising profiles or sell personal data to third parties.
Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.
The app may read subscription entitlement status from Apple to determine whether premium content should be unlocked.
